China's Textile Industry Quality Upgrade Plan Nears Completion: 30% Recycling Rate Target for Waste Textiles by 2025

As the Textile Industry Quality and Upgrade Implementation Plan (2023–2025) jointly issued by four departments enters its final stage, it sets targets for 2025: R&D investment intensity of above-scale textile enterprises to reach 1.3%, 70% of enterprises to achieve digitalization/networking, and a 30% recycling rate for waste textiles. The plan emphasizes applications of new materials like bio-based fibers and high-performance fibers, and promotes green transformation of the printing and dyeing industry.
